If you are currently residing in Cyberjaya and feel that your Internet service is not fast enough, this might be good news for you: SHTech has begun to offer its 1Gbps broadband service in the city. The high speed broadband was actually announced last month by Prime Minister Najib Razak as part of 11 new initiatives to help transform Cyberjaya into a smart city.
While there are several companies already offering 1Gbps broadband services in Malaysia, almost all of them are offered to enterprise customers – but not SHTech. Operating under a brand called Cyberjaya Broadband which was formerly known as City Broadband, the 1Gbps service is also available for residential customers.
Said to cost RM 399 per month, the service has yet to appear on Cyberjaya Broadband’s current website. However, its older website under City Broadband branding showed that the service comes with symmetrical download and upload speeds alongside dynamic IP address. The website also stated that the service is only available in four residential areas within Cyberjaya although it is possible that this list has yet to be updated by SHTech.
For business users, the 1Gbps broadband comes with a price tag of RM 3,499 per month. To learn more, do get in contact on SHTech through its helpline at 03-8312-8030 or 1300-38-8000.
