Of many products that were showcased at Cooler Master’s Computex 2017 booth, one product stood out the most. It doesn’t have an official name yet, but a Cooler Master rep simply referred to it as the ‘UFO’ – because you know… it looks like one.
In an age where CPU cooler are becoming bulkier and ‘boring’, Cooler Master has taken things in a different direction. Unlike other CPU coolers in the market today, Cooler Master’s UFO CPU cooler is lightweight, unorthodox cooler that may just give a breath of flamboyant air onto one’s system.
When it comes to design, the Cooler Master CPU cooler comes with just a single open-air cooling fan that’s aptly located on top of the CPU cooler’s saucer-looking body. Underneath, is where one would find the cooler’s heatsink, which has a mushroom-like texture – probably just me. The most striking feature of the UFO CPU cooler is, of course, its LED-lit outer rings. That said, the company did not mention whether the colour output can be customised.
Cooler Master does expect its UFO CPU cooler to be made available to the masses by Q3 2017. Despite this, judging by its rather unique aesthetic, we’d expect this cooler to be rather pricey.
