Google has just updated its Allo chat app again and this time round, they are bringing a new selfie GIF feature. The company is also updating the iOS version of Allo with the selfie sticker feature that was first introduced just last month.
Available for all users, all you need to do is tap the “GIF” button located under the “+” menu on Google Allo. After that, just record a GIF and send to your friends. This is nothing new of course, you can already make your own personalised GIFs via third-party apps, however, with selfie GIF built right into your chat menu, it makes it a whole lot easier, and hopefully make your chats more interesting. Personal GIF on Google Allo is not limited to selfies only of course, you can use it to make short clips of anything you want.

At the same time, iOS users who are on Google Allo can now finally use the selfie sticker feature that was introduced to the Android version of the app earlier last month. Selfie sticker on Allo lets you capture an image of yourself, and it will automatically generate a set of stickers based on your facial features. You can customise it further, selecting your own hair colour, shape of your face, and more. Google says that this results in over 563 quadrillion potential combinations so you can have a unique set of stickers catered to you.
Google did not provide any timeline for the update. It is not available for us at the moment, so check back to the respective app store later to see if you have the update yet.
