Earlier this month at MWC 2017, Motorola unveiled the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. Since then, we haven’t seen any particularly interesting device from the company – not even the recently announced Moto C series of affordable phones. Well, this may change very soon: Motorola will be showing its “next bold phone” tomorrow.
This bit of news comes from Motorola Canada’s official Twitter account. In the tweet, the company mentioned that it will be announcing a new phone on 1 June, although Motorola Canada didn’t elaborate any further.

Based on leaks and rumours surrounding Moto devices in recent weeks, the phone being unveiled tomorrow may very well be the Moto Z2 Play or the new Moto G5S devices. On top of that, the Z2 Play was already rumoured to be unveiled tomorrow in Brazil as well.
Nonetheless, we reckon the Moto Z2 Play will be officially announced tomorrow. According to past leaks, the Z2 Play will likely feature a 5.5-inch 1080p OLED display, a 2.2GHz octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, 12MP rear and 5MP front-facing shooters, and a rather modest 2,820mAh battery. Interestingly, it’s also said to be thinner than its predecessor at 5.99mm thin.
Motorola Canada will be unveiling its next smartphone tomorrow on 1 June 2017. Whether it’s the official launch of the Moto Z2 Play or G5S devices, here’s hoping the new device will be made available in Malaysia in a timely manner – Motorola’s presence in Malaysia is growing, after all.
