Sony just launched two new smartphones in Malaysia: its latest flagship, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, as well as the mid-range Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra. Now that the XZ Premium is introduced on our shores, it is the first Snapdragon 835 smartphone to be officially available in Malaysia.
The most interesting feature of the XZ Premium is its 5.5-inch 4K HDR display; while the Xperia Z5 Premium also had a 4K display, it’s not HDR-capable. Aside from that, the XZ Premium is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM.
Other specifications of the XZ Premium include 64GB of expandable internal storage, a 19MP Motion Eye rear camera with 960fps slow motion video recording – similar to the one found on the Sony Xperia XZs – a 13MP front-facing shooter, a 3,230mAh battery, and Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
And then we have the more affordable device of the two, the Xperia XA1 Ultra. It comes with a sizeable 6-inch 1080p display, a MediaTek Helio P20 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, 23MP rear and 16MP front-facing cameras, as well as a 2,700mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium and XA1 Ultra are now available for pre-order until the 4th of June 2017. Those who are interested in either of these two devices can place their pre-order at selected Sony Stores nationwide as well as on 11street.
