Facebook recently updated its Facebook Live, giving users more ways to connect with each other. You can now chat with your friends in private when you’re watch in a public broadcast using Live Chat With Friends, as well as invite a friend to broadcast together with you using Live With.
With Live Chat With Friends, you can finally have a private conversation in real-time with your friends when you’re watching public live broadcast. You can chat with those who are already watching, or invite others to tune in. Don’t worry though, you can still jump back into a public conversation ay anytime, and once the live broadcast is over, you can still continue to chat with your friends via Messenger.
As for Live With, this feature was first introduced last year but was limited to public figures only. Now, all profiles and Pages on iOS are able to have a live broadcast together with their friends. You can invite a friend to broadcast a live video together with you even if you are not in the same place. Live With works in both portrait mode for a picture-in-picture experience, and landscape mode for a side-by-side experience.
