As soon as the new Surface Pro was officially revealed to the world yesterday, Microsoft has updated the official websites for Surface products throughout the world including Malaysia. While that seems nothing out of ordinary, we do notice subtle yet interesting changes that Microsoft has implemented on the newly updated website for our market.

The major change is that the website now highlights the new Surface Pro which is rather interesting as the Malaysian site for Surface previously doesn’t list Surface devices that are not available in Malaysia such as the Surface Laptop, Surface Studio, and Surface Book. At the same time, the website still markets the older Surface Pro 4 and retains the link to the tablet listing at Lazada Malaysia. The same observation also applies to Surface accessories as the new Surface Pen, Surface Pro Type Cover, and the Alcantara-covered Surface Pro Signature Type Cover keyboards have now appeared on the website but not Surface Arc Mouse, Surface Dial, or Signature Edition Type Cover.

So, does this mean that we will be seeing the new Surface Pro in Malaysia soon despite not being part of the initial launch markets? Well, we’ve reached out to Microsoft Malaysia but unfortunately, the company has nothing official to announce at the moment.

With that, we guess only time will tell then. Nevertheless, we will continue to keep you updated once we hear more from Microsoft regarding the new Surface Pro.
