Inno3D has announced its latest custom Nvidia graphics card called the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (1-Slot Edition). Despite not being fitted with all performance enhancing technologies like other dual-slot custom GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards, Inno3D’s GTX 1050 Ti (1-Slot Edition) does come with its own unique features.
Most graphics cards we see in the market today are either equipped with a dual-slot or triple-slot cooling solution; which makes them inadequate for small systems. Hence, the need for a single-slot graphics card like the Inno3D GTX 1050 Ti (1-Slot Edition).
Interestingly, the GTX 1050 Ti (1-Slot Edition) retains the reference PCB that’s found on Nvidia’s original GTX 1050 Ti. The only major modification done to this graphics card is, obviously, the addition of a single-slot cooling solution. Likewise, the clock speeds of this graphics card stay true to that of Nvidia’s reference GTX 1050 Ti. More specifically, it features base and boost clock speeds of 1291MHz and 1392MHz respectively.
Being a slim graphics card, however does have its drawbacks. For instance, consumers will only get one DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, and DVI ports each with the GTX 1050 Ti (1-Slot Edition). In addition, the graphics card is also only fitted with one open-air cooling fan, which may affect its performance under heavy load or when being overclocked.
Regardless, consumers who are simply looking for a slim graphics card that can run non-graphics intensive games at acceptable framerates should definately consider the Inno3D GTX 1050 Ti (1-Slot Edition). Unfortunately, pricing and date of availability of this graphics card was not mentioned.
