First of its kind, the Harman Kardon Invoke speaker is equipped with built-in support for Cortana which allows the speaker to relay contextual information directly to users from Microsoft’s digital personal assistant. Not surprisingly, more Cortana devices will be coming soon or at least, that’s the objective behind the new collaboration that Microsoft has signed with HP and Intel.
Through the collaboration, Intel will be working to come out reference platforms with native Cortana support that manufactures can adapt into end users product. As for HP, the company is looking to work on its own Cortana devices as well.
At the moment, we are still waiting to hear for more information regarding this initiative from all three parties. Nevertheless, it is clear that Cortana will not be confined to just PCs and smartphones anymore.
