Asus has unveiled its latest B350-based motherboard called the Prime B350M-E. Being based off of the B350 chipset means that Asus’ latest will be compatible with not only Ryzen CPUs, but with other AM4 processors as well.
It’s worth noting that the ‘larger’ version of this motherboard has been detailed in our previous article. That aside, the Asus Prime B350M-E is a micro-ATX motherboard, which means that it’ll be suitable for small form factor systems. Despite this, consumers will be losing out on SLI or CrossFire support, because the motherboard only comes with one PCIe expansion slot.
When it comes to design, the Asus Prime B350M-E is coloured in black with a few red accents here and there. LED elements seem to be present on this motherboard, which will be customisable via Asus’ Aura Sync software. Storage connectivity options include: four SATA 6Gbps ports and one 32Gbps M.2 slot (with NVMe boot support).
Asus’ Prime B350M-E is also fitted with two USB 3.1 type-A ports; six USB 3.0 type-A ports; one Gigabit Ethernet port; and one DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI ports each. Unfortunately, Asus has not revealed the release date and pricing for the Prime B350M-E yet.
