It looks like Facebook is finally ready to bring its Instant Games on Messenger to all of the 1.2 billion people who uses Facebook Messenger every month. Announced back in November 2016, Instant Games on Messenger was previously only limited to users in selected countries. In conjunction with its global launch, Facebook is also bringing several new features that were previewed to developers at its recent annual F8 2017 conference.
Some of the new features include turn-based games, leaderboards, tournaments, and even game bots. You can challenge your friends on Instant Games, unlock new levels, and even get rewards. For certain games, there will even be game bots to help cheer you on or send you notifications.
Facebook also announced that there are now up to 50 game titles available on its messaging platform, with more being introduced almost every week. One of the first few games to introduce rich gameplay features include Zynga’s Words With Friends, and Blackstorm’s Everwing is among the first to use Game bots. Facebook will also be bringing the world’s #1 pool game, Miniclip’s 8 Ball Pool, to Instant Games very soon.
The new update will be rolled out over the next few weeks worldwide for both Android and iOS.
