Acer’s Predator range includes laptops, desktops, tablets, and even projectors, but by far the most popular Predator product is its gaming monitor lineup. Today, the company has announced a new flagship gaming monitor: the Acer Predator X27.
The Acer Predator X27 ticks all the boxes for a 2017 flagship gaming monitor. The Predator X27 is a 27-inch monitor with “true” 4K resolution (3840 x 2160), and supports the Nvidia GeForce HDR standard with Acer HDR Ultra technology.
Besides that, the Acer Predator X27 also sports a very high 144Hz refresh rate at 4K, 4ms response time, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits – almost three times higher than standard laptops.
Most interestingly, the Acer Predator X27 is the first Acer monitor to feature Quantum Dot display technology. While Samsung has been pioneers in quantum dot technology, other companies have begun adopting this technology into their display panels simply because of its many virtues.
Besides the high refresh rate and low response times, the Acer Predator X27’s panel also covers 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space, and 130% of the sRGB colour gamut. Not to forget, the HDR panel further enhances the display’s colour reproduction and accuracy.
Finally, the Acer Predator X27 also supports Nvidia G-Sync and Nvidia ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur) technologies, while Acer VisionCare help reduce eye fatigue. Oh, there’s also integrated Tobii eye tracking technology, if you’re into that.
Pricing and availability have not been announced yet, unfortunately.
