It looks like we’re about to enter a new ‘era’ of custom graphics cards: an LCD display. This new trend, which arguably was started by Colorful, is now being mimicked by the folks at Galax. The upcoming GTX 1080 Ti HOF will come with an LCD display of its own.
Galax’s HOF series of graphics cards are widely known amongst PC enthusiasts as being very capable of enduring heavy overclocking work. If putting an LCD display onto an already very capable graphics card isn’t a match made in heaven, then I don’t know what is.

According Galax’s teaser, the LCD display on the GTX 1080 Ti HOF will be able to display key information such as: BIOS version and memory capacity; GPU driver version; temperature; fan speed; voltage rating; clock speeds; and it also does custom text. It’s worth noting, however, that this graphics card will draw quite a lot of power – it’s powered via three 8-pin power connectors.
The teaser image from Galax also shows that the GTX 1080 Ti HOF will indeed be rather thick, due to its large cooling solutions. The graphics card’s cooler shroud comes in white and it houses three open air cooling fans as well.
Unfortunately, aside from the teaser by Galax, specific details of the GTX 1080 Ti HOF remains unknown, for now. That said, judging by its ‘features’ we do expect this graphics card to come with a rather hefty price tag.
