Initially launched in Malaysia just last month, the iPhone 6 with 32GB of storage has received a price cut; a pretty considerable one too. Originally going for RM1,999, the 32GB iPhone 6 now retails at only RM1,699 in Malaysia.
This price cut comes courtesy of official Apple resellers in Malaysia, which include Switch and Machines. At the time of this writing, both retailers still have the 32GB iPhone 6 in stock for RM1,699 on their online stores. Unfortunately, this particular variant of the iPhone 6 is only available in Gold.
Thanks to the price cut, the 32GB iPhone 6 is priced exactly the same as the 16GB iPhone SE now. However, despite having only half the storage capacity of the iPhone 6, it’s worth noting that the iPhone SE is the faster device. The SE has mostly the same internals as the iPhone 6s, after all.
Then again, for those who are not a fan of the iPhone SE’s compact 4-inch panel, the iPhone 6’s bigger 4.6-inch display may just appeal to them. Sure, it’s technically a slower – and older – smartphone than the iPhone SE, but it does have a more practical 32GB storage.
Although the iPhone 6 is a 2014 device, it is the most affordable iPhone in Malaysia right now alongside the iPhone SE at RM1,699. If you’re looking to get a used iPhone, we reckon either one of these two devices will be a much better buy.
