Xiaomi recently announced the opening of its first-ever physical store in Malaysia. Located in Queensbay Mall, Penang, the Mi Premium Reseller Store will carry quite a number of Xiaomi products. The Chinese company is also launching several new products in conjunction with the store’s opening.
A couple of weeks ago, we spotted the Xiaomi Mi Smart Scale and Mi Router 3 on SIRIM. Turns out, both products will be made available at the physical store; they are priced at RM119 and RM149 respectively.
Aside from these two products, Xiaomi also brought in a slew of new products that will be sold at the Mi Premium Reseller Store. We’ll list them down below for easy reference:
- Mi LED Desk Lamp (RM159)
- Mi VR Play Headset (RM49)
- Mi Air Purifier 2 (RM529)
- Mi Bluetooth Speaker Square Box (RM89)
- Mi Trolley 90 Points Suitcase 20″ (RM289)
- Mi Trolley 90 Points Suitcase 24″ (RM339)
- 90 Mi Smart Metal Suitcase (RM1,849)
- Mi Minimalist Backpack Urban Life Style (RM159)
At the moment, it remains to be seen if the products listed above will be sold online as well; Xiaomi’s Lazada store does not carry any of the new products at the time of this writing. Nonetheless, a grand opening for the physical store will be happening on 29 April this Saturday.
While the Xiaomi Premium Reseller Store in Penang isn’t exactly a Mi Home, it does show Xiaomi’s commitment to the Malaysian market. Hopefully, the company will be opening more stores in Malaysia; especially in KL.
