As promised, AMD has officially launched its Ryzen processors here in Malaysia with much fanfare even though these processors are available in our market since last month. Interestingly, the launch event which took place yesterday and was open to public also serves as the debut location of the new Radeon RX 500 series graphics cards in Malaysia as well.
To help the company demonstrate the power of Ryzen processors as well as Radeon RX 500 graphics cards, AMD has roped quite a number of its partners (or their Malaysian representatives) such as ASRock, ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI, Power Color, Sapphire, and XFX to participate in the event.
Some of them even collaborated with several well-known retailers for the event including DotaTech IT Enterprise, Jayacom, Rextech, Tech Armory, Topmaid Computer, and Viewnet. This pretty much resulted in plenty of demo machines being showcased at the launch event as you can see in the gallery below:
Of course, as indicated earlier, these machines are all running on either Radeon RX 580 or RX 570 graphics cards:
All in all, it is great to see AMD having a launch event in Malaysia after quite some time especially now that the company has a rather competitive line of CPU although it is still early days for the Radeon RX 500 cards.
It is not known for now if we will be able to see such event again but since the company still have few more products in the pipeline for 2017 such as Radeon RX Vega and Ryzen Mobile, expect to hear some buzz from AMD once again very soon.
