MSI has announced two brand new laptops called the GP62X and GP72X Leopard Pro. Both gaming laptops are apparently targeted at consumers who are looking for a lightweight portable gaming machine. According to MSI, its Leopard series of gaming notebooks provides gamers with adequate gaming performance at ‘affordable’ prices.
MSI’s GP62X and GP72X gaming notebooks are actually refreshes of the company’s older GP62 and GP72 gaming laptops. One distinct difference between the two notebooks are their sizes. The GP62X comes with a 15.6-inch display, while the GP72X is equipped with a larger 17.3-inch display. That said, both gaming laptops will come fitted with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor.
Speaking of which, the MSI GP72X notebook will also feature a 120MHz display, which is optional, of course. Consumers will also have a choice from a GTX 1050, GTX 1050 Ti, or GTX 1060 GPU. In addition, MSI has also bestowed its new gaming notebooks with SteelSeries keyboards as well (RGB backlit).
Other specifications of the MSI GP62X and GP72X gaming notebooks include one USB 3.1 Type-C and USB 2.0 Type-A ports; two USB 3.0 Type-A ports; one SD card reader; as well as one HMDI and mini DisplayPort ports. It’s also worth noting that the GP62X and GP72X gaming laptops weigh around 2.2kg and 2.7kg respectively.
MSI has not announced the availability of both the GP62X and GP72X gaming notebooks in Malaysia, for now. Likewise, local pricing wasn’t mentioned either.
