Meizu has just launched several smartphones in Malaysia, including its most recent flagship device, the Meizu Pro 6 Plus. Joining this high-end device are four other Meizu phones that were launched on our shores over the past few months, including the M5 Note – and its smaller variant, the M5 – the MX6, as well as the M3 Note.
Let’s start with the most interesting device of the bunch: the Pro 6 Plus. Retailing at RM1,999, it features a 5.7-inch 1440p Super AMOLED display, Samsung’s Exynos 8890 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of non-expandable storage, 12MP rear and 5MP front-facing cameras, a 3,400mAh battery, and an all-metal body.
And then we have the RM849 Meizu M5 Note, one of the most recent mid-range devices from the Chinese company. It’s packing a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, a MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing snapper, as well as a generous 4,000mAh battery.
Also mentioned at the launch event were the Meizu MX6, the M5, and the M3 Note; all of which were already available for purchase in Malaysia.
Although today’s launch event was mainly focused on the Meizu Pro 6 Plus and M5 Note, it’s really an opportunity for Meizu to announce its “return” to the Malaysian market. Together with Dynamics Distribution – Meizu’s exclusive distributor – we may just see more devices from Meizu landing in Malaysia in the near future.
