For the past few months, OPPO has put a lot of effort into the roll out of its R9s and R9s Plus smartphones in Malaysia. Soon, the company will be launching yet another new device into our market in the form of the OPPO A57.
Originally released in China last year, the new A57 is designed for selfie lovers. Hence, it is not surprising to see that the phone’s main attraction is its 16-megapixels front facing camera. The phone still comes with a rear camera though that features a 13-megapixels sensor with PDAF capability and LED flash.
The phone is also equipped with a 5.2-inch HD (720p) IPS display and a fingerprint sensor that is integrated into its home button. Running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, it also comes standard with 3GB of RAM as well as 32GB internal storage. Not for forget, the A57 also features 2900mAh battery.
Despite the confirmation of its release in Malaysia, OPPO didn’t reveal additional info regarding A57’s actual launch date or price tag. If you need a reference point though, the smartphone is priced at CNY 1,599 (about RM 1,027) in China.
