Initially scheduled to go on sale later this week on 15 April, Huawei recently announced that the P10 Plus – the highest-end device in the series – is now available for purchase in Malaysia. Unlike the Huawei P10 we reviewed not too long ago, this Plus variant packs a few notable hardware upgrades.
One of the most obvious benefits of the P10 Plus over the standard P10 is a new camera: the former features a 20MP + 12MP dual-camera setup with f/1.8 aperture. In contrast, the P10’s camera aperture is smaller at f/2.2. Thanks to the bigger aperture, the P10 Plus should be a better shooter – in theory – than the P10.
Aside from that, the P10 Plus also has a bigger and sharper 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 IPS display, the same HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor found in the P10, more RAM and storage at 6GB and 128GB respectively, a microSD card slot, a more generous 3,750mAh battery, and of course, a fingerprint sensor.
At the time of this writing, the Huawei P10 Plus is only available in two colours in Malaysia: Graphite Black and Dazzling Gold. More colour choices – such as Greenery and Dazzling Blue – should be available later this year.
If you’re keen to get your hands on the Huawei P10 Plus, it is now available for purchase in Malaysia at all Huawei Experience Stores nationwide with a RM3,099 price tag.
