Alongside the official launch of XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop in Malaysia earlier this week, Dell has also revealed that its new Ultrathin Monitor S2718D is already here in our market. Originally launched at CES 2017, the new monitor was unveiled alongside Dell InfinityEdge Monitors that were released in Malaysia last month.
Just like the two other InfinityEdge models, one of the main attraction for the new S2718D monitor is the ability to deliver brilliant output especially for HDR10 contents which apparently enables the monitor to provide greater depth of colors. Not enough with that, its flicker-free quad HD (2560×1440) IPS panel also has more than 99% coverage of the sRGB spectrum.
At the same time, it is hard not to notice the monitor’s sleek design which apparently has the world’s overall thinnest profile in its class according to Dell. It is also built with USB Type-C port that not only acts as video input port but also able to charge laptops that utilized USB Type-C as their power port.
Unlike the company’s new XPS 13 2-in-1, the Ultrathin Monitor S2718D was not on display at the on-going Dell Consumer Tech Week roadshow in Plaza Low Yat. Nevertheless, you can order it directly from Dell Malaysia’s online store for RM 2,999.
