Microsoft is set to release its next big Windows 10 update on 11 April, but users can begin to manually install the Creators Update today. As we reported earlier, the early release is being made available for those who don’t want to wait for the automatic updater to kick in.
This update is several GB in size, and will take some time to install. In other words, be prepared for a deluge of people complaining that their computers are taking forever to boot when the update goes live. However, this early download option will allow people to install the update on their own terms.
The Creators Update brings with it improved privacy controls; although not an actual change to the privacy policy. Essentially, Microsoft is making it easier to understand the amount of data that is being collected from each user. These new controls will help less aware users set what they want Microsoft to be able to see.
Privacy is not the only thing coming from the Creators Update. There’s also a suit of VR and 3D tools for people to use. This isn’t just meant for creative professionals, but also the general public who would like to adopt this whole thing with 3D models.
The Windows 10 Creators Update can be manually triggered by following this link and downloading the tool from Microsoft.
