Planning an event with your friends and family and wish there was an easier way to coordinate? Microsoft wants to help you with that. The company recently launched an app called “Who’s In”, that helps you organise an event on iMessage. The app lets you connect with your friends, suggest activities and meeting times, and can even recommend things like restaurants, attractions, movies and more.
“Who’s In” is powered by none other than Microsoft’s own search engine, Bing; all of its recommendations are taken from Bing. It is a relatively simple app, just pick an activity, a restaurant, or a movie, and let your group of friends vote on what they want to do. If the activity is not listed, you can even create your own.
Sounds familiar? About less than two years back, Google also launched a similar app called “Who’s Down”. The app is no longer available for download. Who’s Down from Google is similar to Who’s In from Microsoft. It lets you see who’s available to hang out, and even lets you plan on what you would like to do.
The difference is that Who’s In is not a standalone app. It works on iMessage, so you can still use the app you are familiar with to do the planning. Who’s In is now available for download on the App Store. Sadly, it is not available in Malaysia but if you would really like to use it to plan your next event, all you need is an iTunes account with an address from the U.S. to download it.
