Unveiled back in January earlier this year, the Vertu Constellation is a high-end, extremely luxurious Android smartphone. Well, if you’ve been eyeing this piece of luxury, good news: there’s a good chance the Constellation will be available in Malaysia in the near future.
We first spotted the Vertu Constellation in SIRIM’s database, where it was registered under SWG Fine Watches Sdn Bhd. Although a SIRIM certification does not guarantee the availability of any given electronic product, it is the first step to officially sell said product in Malaysia.
In terms of specifications, the Constellation is definitely a high-end smartphone. It features a 5.5-inch 1440p AMOLED display protected by sapphire crystal, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, 12MP rear and 4MP front-facing cameras, as well as a 3,220mAh battery.
Aside from these hardware, the Constellation also packs a premium leather finish, an anodised aluminium frame, and…well, a shortcut key made out of ruby to access Vertu’s Concierge service. In Vertu’s words, this service “will provide you with discrete and personalised 24/7 assistance wherever you are in the world.”
The Vertu Constellation is a piece of luxury not many will be willing to pay for, and although it has no official retail price yet, it’s safe to assume it’ll cost an arm and a leg. After all, the company’s previous phone, the Vertu Signature Touch, goes for a whopping 6,500 pound – that’s about RM35,830.
