Bungie has announced the best news possible for Destiny 2; it is coming to PC at launch. It is also heading to Xbox One, but that doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. On the other hand, there are still concessions to the PlayStation 4 players.
Destiny 2 is a completely new game, and will allow players to carry over items from the first game. Which is almost entirely expected; although the news may come as a disappointment for those who have stuck it out the longest. Still, the reveal trailer explains what happened to all that loot.
The three main characters from the first game also make a return, although there seems to be a shift in tone. No word if Peter Dinklage will also be coming back.
Bungie is making some content time exclusive to the PlayStation 4. It’s not clear what this is, but it will be locked to the PS4 for a whole year before being released for Xbox One and PC. This is still a better situation than making Destiny a PlayStation exclusive title. At least for PC gamers.
Pre-orders for Destiny, which is set to be released on 8 September. As usual, there are multiple versions on sale. Including a Limited Edition, Expansion Pass bundle, and Collector’s edition. It should be enough to note that base game is will cost $59.99 (about RM265).
Those who pre-order it through the Malaysian PS Store may see a small discount, with the game being sold for RM229; which the Digital Deluxe edition is going for RM379. Pre-ordering the game also provides players with access to the closed beta which is set to go live at some point.
