A new year, a new Dota 2 International tournament. Valve’s biggest and most popular Dota 2 tournament is back – introducing TI7, or better known as Dota 2 The International 2017.
Over the course of six days from the 7th of August to the 12th of August 2017, professional Dota 2 teams from all around the world will gather at Seattle’s KeyArena to battle it out to determine who will claim the Aegis of Champions.
Ticketing
In terms of ticketing, tickets will be available for purchase from the 4th of April via Ticketmaster.com. There are two types of tickets available and each account is only allowed to purchase a maximum of five tickets.
Midweek Tickets grant you access to the first four days of the event (7 – 10 August), while the Finals Tickets let you in on the final two days of the event (11 – 12 August). Midweek Ticket holders will also be given free access to an outdoor viewing area the catch the action on the last two days of the event. Midweek and Finals Tickets will be sold for $100 (approximately RM440) and $200 (roughly RM880) respectively.
After the completion of Kiev Major, teams will then proceed to the open qualifiers that will happen from the 22nd to 25th of June. Soon after, the regional qualifiers will then take place from the 26th to 29th of June.
It seems that Valve’s TI7 is moving on from the mystic lights theme to a more elemental theme, this year’s TI7 bearing the “Water” theme perhaps? To learn more about Dota 2 The International 2017, check out the official website here.
