A lot of fashion brands have been hopping into the smartwatch bandwagon lately, and the latest ones to do so are Hugo Boss and Tommy Hilfiger. Both companies recently announced their own version of Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches at the on-going BaselWorld 2017 Watch and Jewellery Show.
As expected, these watches are made from premium materials. The Hugo Boss Touch is made from carbon black IP stainless steel, with a range of interchangeable straps. Function wise, the Hugo Boss Touch has NFC for Android Pay, and does not have a heart rate sensor. To be launched in August this year, it is expected to cost US$395, that’s about RM1,750.
As for Tommy Hilfiger, the company announced the TH24/7You smartwatch hat also runs on Android Wear 2.0. Judging from pictures, it has a more casual look compared to the other smartwatches from fashion brands we’ve seen lately. The TH24/7You is slightly cheaper, with a retail price of US$299 (about RM1,325) but unfortunately, it does not have NFC or a heart rate monitor on board.
Further details about these wearables are not available, but since they run on Android Wear 2.0, you should be getting the basic smartwatch functions like notifications, tracking of your movement and sleep, access to Play Store, and more.
