Alongside the new KG1 series of gaming monitors, Acer today also announced the arrival of the new Aspire VX 15 gaming laptop and the Aspire GX781 gaming desktop.
The Acer Aspire VX 15 sports an aggressive yet understated design, with a dark metal grey body with red accents. It’s powered by an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor with 4GB of DDR4 RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM, and has a 1TB 5400rpm hard drive.
There’s also a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display, while I/O ports are quite healthy: 1 USB 2.0 port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB Type C port, card reader, HDMI port, and an Ethernet port. The Acer Aspire VX 15 also features two cooling fans, redirecting hot air to the two rear exhausts.
On the other hand, the Acer Aspire GX781 desktop again features red accents on the matte black body, with a striking red V pattern near the top. Inside, the Aspire GX781 has an Intel Core i7-7700 processor with 8GB RAM, 128GB M.2 SSD + 1TB HDD, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM.
In addition, there’s plenty of space for expansion too: there’s one PCIe x16 slot, one PCIe x1 slot, and one M.2 slot each for SSD and WLAN modules. Besides that, the desktop’s front also sports a healthy amount of I/O ports: two audio jacks, one USB 3.1 ports (1x Type-C, 1x Type A), and a card reader.
At the back, the Acer Aspire GX781 has two HDMI ports, 1 Ethernet port, three audio jacks, four USB 2.0 ports, and one USB 3.0 port.
