The new Acer KG1 series of gaming monitors are now in Malaysia. Balancing performance at affordable prices, the KG1 series are Acer’s first monitors to feature 75Hz native refresh rates.
The Acer KG1 series will initially be available in two models: the KG251Q 24.5″ variant and the KG271 27″ version. Both monitors support AMD FreeSync with Adaptive Sync support, 1ms response time, 75Hz refresh rates, and Acer’s own VisionCare technology. Acer VisionCare consists of several features designed to protect users’ eyes, including Blue Light Filter, Flicker-less, ComfyView and Low Dimming.
Aside from that, both monitors sport Full HD resolution displays, using Twisted Nematic (TN) panels. That said, Acer claims both monitors have up to 170-degree viewing angles. The KG1 monitors also have two integrated 2W speakers.
Each of the two models have their own distinct special features. For example, the KG271 27″ monitor sports a sexy bezel-free design that Acer calls ZeroFrame. On the other hand, the KG251Q features a wider input signal compatibility (DVI dual link, HDMI, DisplayPort 1.2, audio in/out) over the KG271 (VGA, HDMI x2, SPK, audio in/out).
While the Acer KG1 series monitors are now officially in Malaysia, only the KG251Q is currently available at a retail price of RM659. The Acer KG271 will only be available at the end of April 2017, and will retail for RM899. Finally, both monitors come with 3 years onsite warranty.
