A lot of fashion brands are making smartwatches now and Guess is no different. The company recently announced several new Guess Connect smartwatches. Not to be confused with the current Martian-powered Guess Connect that features Amazon Alexa, the new version runs on Android Wear 2.0 out of the box, and is similar to most of the Android Wear 2.0 timepieces we’ve been seeing lately.
The new Guess Connect will come in two sizes – 41mm and 44mm. As expected, the smaller variant is catered for ladies, featuring clear crystals surrounding the case that is available in silver, gold and rose gold. As for the larger one, its “sleek 44mm case hosts a variety of dress and sport styles for the man who wants versatility in his watch accessory.”
Specifications wise, Guess says that the Guess Connect smartwatches are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor. Because they runs on Android Wear 2.0, you can access all the features provided by Google, and they also works with both iOS and Android smartphones. Guess did not provide any further details about the specs, but judging from the latest Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches we’ve seen so far, they should be pretty similar.
“This relationship is truly fashion at your fingertips with touch technology in a trendy, versatile way giving consumers fun ways to create their own watch wardrobe all while staying connected – a true blend of fashion and lifestyle functionality.” – Elizabeth Thompson, Senior Vice President Global Product and Marketing for Guess watches.
The new Guess Connect smartwatches will be available in “fall/winter 2017”. Sadly though, the company did not mention anything about the price or international availability, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
