Got a new Android device and want to personalise it exactly to your taste? No problem, Google recently launched a new tool called Taste Test for Android that will help you find the “home screen of your dreams”.
You can take the Taste Test at Android’s website. All you need to do is answer some simple questions like if you prefer light or dark colours, realistic or abstract, modern or vintage, and more. Once done, Google will give you a list of suggestions based on your answers.
Google will give you three different looks to pick from. Not only will it suggest a suitable wallpaper, it will also recommend a launcher, icon pack, widgets, and keyboard, complete with download links to each suggestion; Google will also explain why they picked those items. For example, Google suggests that I download the “Zedge” wallpaper because I like minimalist, dark and cool looks.
Sure, you still have to download each app and customise them one by one after that, but there’s no denying that it is a very useful little tool, especially for newbies.
