Good news for those who are into Warhammer 40,000 games: the release date and PC system requirements for the newest game in the franchise have been announced. Relic Entertainment’s upcoming real-time strategy game, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III will be released for PC (Steam) on 27 April 2017.
According to the games’ minimum requirements, an Intel i3 (3GHz) processor is required, along with 4GB RAM. Running the game at its lowest settings requires one to have either a GeForce GTX 460 or Radeon 6950 graphics card – or any graphics card that has more than 1GB VRAM capacity. That said, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III does require an Intel i5 CPU (or greater) to run 3v3 multiplayer efficiently.
Recommended system requirements of the game is slightly more demanding. Firstly, an Intel Core i5 CPU is needed run Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III at high graphics presets. Likewise, RAM requirements have also doubled to 8GB. Graphics card-wise, the GeForce GTX 770 or Radeon 7970 is recommended to run the game smoothly at high settings.
Regardless of the graphics preset that one wishes to play Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III on, it’s important to note that the game requires a DirectX 11-compliant graphics card to run. Besides that, it’s recommended that one has at least 50GB of storage space as well.
