Logitech today unveiled its first-ever G keyboard “to carry the name Pro” – the Logitech G Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. Equipped with the company’s very own Romer-G switches, Logitech said that the G Pro is made in collaboration with top eSports players from TSM and C9.
As the G Pro keyboard is made with eSports in mind, it is designed to be as responsive as possible. According to Logitech, the Romer-G switches on the G Pro actuate at 1.5mm, which the company claims is 25% faster than competing mechanical switches. Other than than, the G Pro’s switches are said to last for up to 70 million keystrokes too.
Portability is also one of the main selling points of the G Pro; its tenkeyless layout and minimalist design should appeal to players who value table space, especially for wide mouse movements. The G Pro comes with a steel backplate too for a more durable design, not to mention a detachable microUSB cord.
Although not necessarily a feature eSports players find…well, necessary, the G Pro comes with RGB lighting as well. Thanks to the Romer-G unique design – which allows for a more even backlight – we imagine the RGB lighting will look particularly good on the G Pro.
The Logitech G Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard will start shipping sometime this month globally. As for retail price, this eSports-oriented mechanical keyboard will go for $129, which comes up to about RM575.
