The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 devices are set to be made official on 29 March, but we have already seen plenty of leaks surrounding these two highly anticipated phones. This time around, another set of hands on images of the Galaxy S8 have made it onto the internet, and they give us a closer look at the S8’s new rear fingerprint sensor.
In line with previous rumours of the Galaxy S8, the leaked image does indeed show a fingerprint sensor placed right beside the camera lens of the S8. While some believe that this is merely a sensor, certain parties have indicated that the sensor may double as a physical home button too – much like the ones found on the company’s previous flagship devices.
Aside from that, the other leaked images also show off the Galaxy S8’s very, very minimal bezels and side profile; the latter is particularly interesting, as it gives us an idea on the ergonomics of the upcoming device.
Although it’s not easy to tell, it appears the Galaxy S8 will be more similar to the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 in terms of design; the former seems to be sporting a more subtle curved display than its predecessor, which should make for a more comfortable device to hold.
Without a doubt the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphones are shaping up to be the Korean company’s most interesting products to date, and it may just help it get back up on its feet after the Note 7 debacle. The Galaxy S8 are set to be unveiled on 29 March later this month.
