Since few years ago, SNS Network has been launching its own line of smart devices including 2-in-1 notebooks, tablets, and smartphones under an in-house brand called Joi. For 2017, the company continues its Joi journey by launching the 2017 Joi 11 2-in-1 tablet.
There is one main change to the new model though as this time around, the company didn’t bundle the keyboard together with it as per its previous Windows-based 2-in-1 offerings. Instead, it has come out with two optional keyboards that users can choose for their new Joi 11.
While both keyboard accessories which also included built-in touchpad are pretty much designed to deliver the same task, their design and built material made them different from each other. For example the metal-based keyboard allows Joi 11 to have two additional full-size USB port while the leather-based keyboard provides a full-body protection to the tablet which should be handy for highly mobile users.
Meanwhile, SNS has also introduce another optional accessory for the 2017 Joi 11 in the form of an active pen. Works exclusively with any 2017 Joi 11, the company pointed that the stylus pairs automatically with the tablet and can be charged using the micro-USB port located on its top.
The tablet itself is equipped with a 10.8-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display and powered by Intel Atom X5-Z8350 processors. Pre-installed with Windows 10 Home and Android Lollipop, the dual-OS tablet also features 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with the support for up to 128GB microSD card.
It also features 5-megapixels rear camera and 2-megapixels front camera as well as USB Type-C, micro USB, and micro HDMI port. Not to forget, it also comes standard with 8,400mAh battery which provides the tablet with around six to eight hours of battery life.
According to SNS Network, the reason why it decided not to bundle keyboard or active pen together with 2017 Joi 11 is to make the tablet more affordable and allowing users to choose their own additional accessories to go with the tablet. The 2017 Joi 11 is available immediately in the market for RM 899 while its metal and leather keyboard as well as active pen are priced at RM 249, RM 199, and RM 99 respectively.
