First revealed to the world earlier this year, the new ASUS ROG GR8 II mini gaming PC is on its way to Malaysia very soon. In general, it is the successor to the original ROG GR8 which was released back in 2014 and features a redesigned chassis as well as more powerful components that apparently good enough for virtual reality.
For starters, the Malaysian variant of ROG GR8 II is powered by Intel Core i7-7700 processor and carries a custom made ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 3GB GDRR5 VRAM. The PC also comes standard with 8GB DDR-2133 RAM as its system memory.
The console-sized gaming PC also includes 128GB M.2 solid state drive and 1TB hard drive. In order to make the cooling within the chassis more efficient, GR8 II is built with separate CPU and GPU chambers.
Not enough with that, GR8 II also features a Texas Instruments RC4580 amplifier for its headphones output in addition to the company’s own SupremeFX built-in audio technology. Did we mention that the PC also comes with RGB light arrays and the support for ASUS Aura Sync?
The new ASUS ROG GR8 II mini gaming PC will be made available for pre-order in Malaysia starting from 6 to 12 March over at ASUS ROG Malaysia’s Facebook page. While ASUS Malaysia didn’t reveal the actual pre-order price for the highly compact machine, we were told that it will be much less than GR8 II’s standard price tag of RM 5,499.
