While the release of Ryzen 7 processors might be grabbing all the attention at the moment, AMD has released information regarding the next Ryzen processors that will be making its way to the market very soon. They will come in the form of Ryzen 5 series which is the mid-tier member of the Ryzen family.
Scheduled to be out in Q2 2017, AMD has also revealed the specifications for these processors which are targeted for high performance users. This is how they looked like when compared to the enthusiast-level Ryzen 7:
According to the company, the Ryzen 5 1600X is apparently able to outperform Intel Core i5-7600K in Cinebench R15 multi-threaded CPU tests by more than 60%. Additionally, the Ryzen 5 processors will also feature unlocked CPU multiplier just like its Ryzen 7 siblings.
Ryzen’s roll out will not stop at Ryzen 5 alone though as it will be followed by Ryzen 3 which will further bring AMD Zen architecture to lower price point.
