Good news for all Digi subscribers, managing your line has just gotten a whole lot easier- and more fun too. Digi has revamped its MyDigi app which allows you to do more than just managing your bills, purchasing add-ons, and make payments.
First and foremost, the new UI is designed to be simple and offers a one-look summary of the important details of your account. You can see your notifications from the bell icon located on the top right corner, check out for rewards by tapping on “Rewards” at the bottom, see “Offers”, or pull down to refresh the page. A left swipe or tapping the hamburger menu icon shows all other features.
Manage your bill and usage
The main menu will show you your usage and prepaid balance or billed amount for postpaid users. Swipe left to check your quota for data, voice and SMS.The fifth tab will show you free airtime and credit allocated for your plan like birthday bonuses, reload bonuses, etc.
The app will also show you detailed information for the data plan you’re currently subscribed to. Just tap on “View Details” on internet quota to see the specific types of usage, such as unlimited social, unlimited video, etc.
Should you require more assistance such as to extend the validity of your prepaid account, or buy more internet/voice & SMS, just tap on the “Reload” or Buy” option. Postpaid users can pay their bills by tapping on “Pay Bill”.
Make payments and reload
The new MyDigi app now supports more payment methods via online banking, credit card, and debit card. This allows you to pay for your postpaid bills, or reload your prepaid account right from the app itself. Best of all, Digi does not impose any surcharges on your payment transactions.
Manage your account and subscriptions
On top of monitoring your usage and making payments and reloads, you can also manage your Digi account and subscriptions from within the app. Just tap on Settings under the menu and you can access general settings.
All Digi users can easily manage their settings like enabling block caller ID, or suspend your line should your device be stolen so the thief can’t use your Digi line. Postpaid users can also turn on/off International Roaming using the new MyDigi app.
You can also manage your Friends and Family list to ensure you are using the best call and SMS rates available to your most frequently contacted numbers. As for subscriptions (e.g. Weekly internet plan), and toggle them on or off within this app.
Finally, like most account management apps from telcos, you can also access your SIM PIN and PUK codes.
Live Chat support
Need help from Digi regarding your line? You can always send an email to Digi, but if it is an urgent matter, you can also use Live Chat right from the app itself. Located under Support in the Menu, just tap on Live Chat, send your query, and wait for a reply. The support section also gives you access to the latest announcements on the community page.
One of the most useful support features would definitely have to be the ability to track the status of your case. After you have lodged a problem to Digi, the telco will create an entry under Case Status. You can see your Case Number, Title and when the problem was created and closed.
Gamification and Rewards
This is definitely the most interesting part of the new MyDigi app. All you need to do is perform transactions, and you get rewarded with badges. Once you have earned enough badges, you can use them to claim rewards, which are usually additional internet data.
For prepaid users, simply reload a minimum of RM30 for 5 times to unlock 2GB free internet quota for 7 days. You can also purchase a minimum of RM4 in add-on for 5 times to unlock 500MB free internet quota for 1 day.
For postpaid users, just purchase a minimum of RM5 add-ons for 5 times to unlock 3GB free internet quota for 7 days.
Superdeals and Monthly Rewards
Want even more deals? The new MyDigi App also offers Superdeals and monthly rewards to its subscribers. Superdeals will be refreshed monthly with merchant offers featuring products, services and vouchers for only RM0.99.
Superdeals are limited and are based on a first come, first served basis. RM0.99 will be deducted from your account for prepaid users, or billed to your monthly bill for postpaid users. Each user can only buy 1 deal from each merchant within the promotion period.
In addition, Digi also offers monthly rewards in its MyDigi app. Examples of monthly rewards include discounts on platforms such as Agoda, Zalora, and a lot more.
The new MyDigi app is a really good one-stop centre for all your needs from the telco. Besides offering easy account management, Digi is also making it a lot easier for you to discover and redeem freebies and earn rewards simply by using the app, making it one of the best account management apps we’ve seen from a telco in Malaysia.
