As promised, OPPO today has officially launched the new Oppo R9s Plus in Malaysia which completes the R9s series offering in our market following the release of the original R9s back in January. Despite having similar design language, the R9s Plus does differ from its sibling in several factor.
For example, the R9s Plus is equipped with a bigger 6-inch display even though it still retain the full HD resolution as per its smaller sibling. Other than that, the phone also features a different processor in the form of Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 as well as more RAM at 6GB.
While R9s Plus still uses the same rear camera sensor from R9s which is the 16-megapixels IMX398 sensor with dual PDAF capability that it co-developed with Sony as well as f/1.7 6-elements lens, OPPO increases its capability by implementing optical image stabilization system into it. The 16-megapixels front camera from R9s also made its way to R9s Plus.
Last but not least, the R9s Plus also comes with a larger 4000mAh battery and of course, the company’s proprietary VOOC fast charging has also been implemented into the phone. Consumers are able to get their hands on the new OPPO R9s Plus through the OPPO Malaysia’s online store as well as OPPO dealers through out the country from today onwards at RM 2,498.
