Didn’t we just saw a new Xiaomi Redmi smartphone recently? Yes, we did which was in the form of Redmi Note 4X but Xiaomi didn’t stop there though. Alongside its new homegrown Surge S1 SoC and Mi 5c, the company earlier today also has unveiled the brand new Redmi 4X.
In general, the Redmi 4X is a lower mid-range smartphone which features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 and a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display. It is also available in two memory and internal storage options: the first being 2GB RAM and 16GB storage while the other one comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage.
Aside from that, the 4G+ smartphone also features a rather large 4,100mAh battery. In fact, Xiaomi claimed that Redmi 4X has a maximum 4G standby time of 18 days. As for actual active usages, it varies from one activity to another – for example, Xiaomi claimed that the phone is able to survive 13 hours of gaming and up to 87 hours when used for audio playback.
Meanwhile, the Redmi 4X also carries 13-megapixel sensor and 5-elements f/2.0 lens for its main camera that also comes with PDAF and HDR capabilities. For selfies, Xiaomi has provided the smartphone with a 5-megapixel camera that also included f/2.2 lens.
Last but not least, the 150 gram phone also comes standard with a fingerprint reader. Xiaomi is still keeping the release date for Redmi 4X a secret at this moment but nevertheless, it will be made available for CNY 699 (about RM 452) for the 2GB/16GB model and CNY 899 (about RM 582) for 3GB/32GB variant once the time comes.
