Alcatel isn’t going to leave MWC 2017 alone without announcing new products. Apart from smartphones, the company has also introduced the Alcatel Plus 12. The device is a 2-in-1 tablet that’s powered by Windows 10, and supports 4G connectivity.
Alcatel Plus 12 Specifications
Catering to business professionals, the Alcatel Plus 12 features an 11.6-inch full HD IPS display. It is powered by a dual-core Intel Celeron N3350 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it has 64GB of internal storage (32GB eMMC + 32GB microSD embedded). On the front, there’s a 5MP camera for video conferencing.
In terms of connectivity, the Alcatel Plus 12 supports dual-band ac Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth v4.2. There is also a USB type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, micro HDMI slot, and a microSD card slot.
What’s interesting about the Alcatel Plus 12 is the LTE keyboard that comes with it. Other than the keyboard and a trackpad, it’s capable of LTE connectivity and can be utilised as a Wi-Fi hotspot, supporting up to 15 users simultaneously. Apart from that, there’s also a SIM card slot and a USB type-A slot.
The Alcatel Plus 12 is powered by a 6,900mAh battery while the LTE keyboard will provide an additional 2,580mAh battery power. Other than that, the keyboard also packs a fingerprint sensor to be used with Windows Hello.
As of this writing, Alcatel has not released any pricing or availability information on the Plus 12. Running on Windows 10 Home, the device comes in two colour options – Silver and Sideral Gray. To learn more about Alcatel’s 2-in-1 tablet, check out the official website here.
