It is indeed an exciting day for HMD Global as it continues to unveiled two more new smartphones in the form of Nokia 5 and Nokia 3, alongside the global version of Nokia 6 as well as the remake of the legendary Nokia 3310.
Just like the Nokia 6, both smartphones are running on Android Nougat operating system and was crafted from aluminum. Being the higher-end model though, Nokia 5 is much more powerful than Nokia 3.
The Nokia 5 is equipped with a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display and Qualcomm Snapragon 430 processor. It also carries 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, TFA 9891 audio amplifier, and 3,000 mAh battery.
Camera-wise, the Nokia 5 relies on a 1.12um 13-megapixels sensor with PDAF capability which is paired with a f/2.0 lens and dual-tone flash. On front, there is autofocus camera that features an 1.12um 8-megapixels with 84-degrees f/2.0 lens.
As for Nokia 3, it comes with a 5.0-inch HD IPS display, MediaTek MTK6737 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. Aside from a smaller 2,650 mAh battery, the smartphone also comes with lower resolution 1.12um 8-megapixels sensors on its rear and front auto-focus cameras.
Consumers can expect to see these new Android-based Nokia smartphones starting from Q2 2017 onwards. Price-wise, Nokia 5 will go for EUR 189 (about RM 887) while Nokia 3 can be obtained for EUR 139 (about RM 652).
