Originally available only in China, HMD Global just moments ago has announced that its Nokia 6 smartphone will be made available to other markets really soon.
As part of the company’s Pure philosophy, the Nokia 6 for global markets will carry Android Nougat operating system that is very close to stock Android and free of bloatware. Google Assistant will also be included on the phone as part of the service’s wider availability which was announced by Google earlier today.
In terms of specifications, the global version features 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage instead of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that were equipped into China’s variant. That being said, consumers can still opt for China’s specifications by opting for the limited Arte Black colorway.
As for other parts of the phone, they remain the same: we are looking at Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display, Dolby Atmos support, 16-megapixels PDAF rear camera, 8-megapixels front camera, and 3,000 mAh battery.
The new Nokia 6 for global market will be launched in Q2 this year with a price tag of EUR 229 (about RM 1,074) for the standard version while the Arte Black colorway costs slightly higher at EUR 299 (about RM 1,403).
