Almost five months since it was originally announced in China, the OPPO R9s Plus is finally making its way to Malaysia. This was confirmed through a media invite for its launch event that we received earlier today.
While it might look identical to its smaller sibling – the R9s – that was launched in Malaysia last month, there are several factors that separate both smartphones from each other. For example, the R9s carries a bigger full HD display at 6.0-inch and is powered by a different processor in the form of Qualcomm Snapdragon 653.
Other than that, the R9s Plus also carries more RAM at 6GB although still held the same amount of internal storage of 64GB. OPPO has also added optical image stabilization to the phone’s 16-megapixels rear camera but retain the same front camera from the standard R9s.
Not to forget, the R9s Plus also features a slightly larger battery at 4,000mAh. Given the differences, the phone should costs slightly more than R9s but of course, we will only know more about the phone’s price tag at its launch event on 1 March.
