Huawei is expected to launch its next generation Huawei Watch in MWC 2017 that will be starting just next week, but it looks like we don’t have to wait till then to see the wearable. Pictures of the Huawei Watch 2 have recently been leaked, and in-line with previous rumours, it has a sportier design, as well as cellular connectivity on board.
The pictures have been leaked by none other than Evan Blass from VentureBeat. These pictures shows off the Huawei Watch 2 in all of its glory, and in-line with previous rumours, it does have a sportier look that is a big change compared to the original Huawei Watch, which is mainly marketed as a classy wearable.
Another picture shared by VentureBeat shows off the nano-SIM card slot on the wearable itself, confirming previous rumours that it will have cellular connectivity on board. This will allow the Watch 2 to fully functional even when not connected to a smartphone. The watch will also be able to make and receive calls. It is still unclear whether the SIM slot will be a separate variant or included on all Watch 2 models.
The Huawei Watch 2 is expected to be unveiled at MWC 2017. The Chinese company is expected to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Huawei P10. In case you were wondering, the smartphone has been leaked before, and this picture is perhaps the most convincing one of the P10 we’ve seen so far.
MWC 2017 will be running from 27 February 2017 to 2 March 2017, so stay tuned because we will be on the show floors to catch as many launches as we can.
