Behold, dear readers, the first alleged images of AMD’s consumer-ready Ryzen CPUs. Interestingly, the folks at VideoCardz have managed to get their hands on images of a bunch of the AMD chips along with their packaging. This leak shows, in part, that we are indeed getting very close to the official unveiling of AMD’s highly anticipated lineup of AM4 processors.
One immediately striking feature about AMD’s upcoming processors is the fact that the Ryzen branding is etched boldly on the integrated heat spreader area of the CPU. According to VideoCard’s WhyCry, at least one of the CPUs pictured has the ‘Ryzen 7’ nomenclature.
In addition, pictures of one engineering sample Ryzen CPU was also leaked by the same tech site. Unlike the alleged consumer-ready Ryzen processors, the engineering sample CPU does not come with the ‘Ryzen’ logo. Sadly, aside from the leaked images, not much else was mentioned, at least nothing in regards to their actual specifications.
Those aside, images of the retail box that’ll house AMD’s Ryzen processors were shown as well. The design is, well, very minimalistic, but not in a bad way. Regardless, nothing is set in stone just yet, at least until AMD makes an official announcement.
