Another day, another Nvidia graphics card rumour. This time around, it’s regarding the fabled Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The graphics card of myth was spotted on a retail copy of Microsoft Studio’s upcoming game, Halo Wars 2.
We wrote an article a few weeks ago detailing the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Halo Wars 2 but it seems that there’s actually another set of requirements needed to run the game on ‘ultra’ settings.
This, of course, means that the GTX 1080 Ti listing on the physical copy of Halo Wars 2 could merely be a typo. This seems quite logical because the game is due for release in less than two days, and the GTX 1080 Ti hasn’t even materialised yet.
However, if, say, the GTX 1080 Ti recommendation isn’t a mistake, then this could very well mean that we’re getting very close to an actual unveiling of the graphics card. Recently, there are plenty of rumours circulating wildly regarding the alleged release date of the GTX 1080 Ti. One probable unveiling date that’s been talked about the most would be during Nvidia’s upcoming GTX Gaming Celebration event at GDC 2017.
Regardless, like with any other rumours regarding unreleased graphics cards, I’d advice our beloved readers to take this one with a grain of Nvidia-branded salt.
