It looks like Samsung will add another particularly interesting mid-range smartphone to its lineup soon: the Galaxy C9 Pro. Initially launched in China back in October last year, the C9 Pro is a pretty well-equipped mid-range device; it’s even powered by Qualcomm’s very capable Snapdragon 653 processor.
As is always the case with devices not officially available in Malaysia yet, the Galaxy C9 Pro was registered by Samsung on SIRIM with the model number “SM-C900F/DS.” Curiously, the support page for the C9 Pro is already live on Samsung Malaysia’s website too.
Chances are, Samsung Malaysia is gearing up to launch the Galaxy C9 Pro on our shores. In terms of specification, the C9 Pro packs a sizeable 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 653 processor paired with a whopping 6GB RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, as well as a generous 4,000mAh battery. The C9 Pro also has a 16MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, a 16MP front-facing shooter, and a fingerprint sensor.
At the moment, we have yet to hear from Samsung Malaysia of any local launch for the Galaxy C9 Pro. Rest assured, we will keep our eyes peeled for any local information on the C9 Pro. It’ll be interesting to see how much the device will be priced here: it retails at 3,199 Chinese yuan (about RM 2,075) in China.
