Introduced at the 2016 Samsung SEA Forum, Samsung has announced an update to the mySamsung app at this year’s Samsung Forum 2017. The app now allows users to register Samsung home appliances, as well as the service being available on the Web for easier access.
Previously, the mySamsung app only allows users to register their Samsung smartphones and tablets for seamless after-sales support, including warranty registration, live chat, and customer service contact. The app was merged with another Samsung app, Galaxy Life, which offers perks and rewards, for a greater user experience.
Now, with over three million users in nine markets in the SEA region, the app will now allow users to register selected Samsung Smart TVs and washing machines from 2016 onwards for warranty purposes from the app. This update also offer tips and tricks to use their new products.
In addition, Samsung is also introducing a web app version of mySamsung, allowing those who do not own a Samsung mobile device but with Samsung home appliances to enjoy the benefits of the app. However, mySamsung requires users to log in with a Samsung account, which can be set up for free.
Finally, the new update to mySamsung, which is already seeding out now, will also add support for six new languages, as it expands to new markets. Among the new language support is Bahasa Malaysia.
