BenQ Zowie, one of the most well-known names in the competitive gaming scene, has launched two new gaming monitors in Malaysia. These include the XL2540 with a very fast 240Hz refresh rate as well as the XL2735, which ships with the company’s signature DyAc technology.
Let’s start with the smaller – and more affordable – XL2540. Aside from its impressive 240Hz refresh rate, this gaming monitor also has a 24.5-inch 1080p TN panel, 1ms grey-to-grey response time, two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, as well as a DVI connection. The XL2540 also comes with four USB 3.0 ports – three downstream and one upstream.
Interestingly, the XL2540 also features a pair of flaps on either sides of the monitor – BenQ Zowie refer to these as Shields. According to the company, these flaps are meant to help players concentrate on their game; it’s also adjustable and can be removed.
Then we have the larger XL2735. Much like the XL2540, this 27-inch gaming monitor also comes with a pair of Shields, but it doesn’t offer the same 240Hz refresh rate of the former. Instead, it has a 144Hz refresh rate with BenQ Zowie’s DyAc – Dynamic Accuracy – technology, which reduces motion blur.
Other specifications of the XL2735 include a 27-inch 2560 x 1440 TN panel, 1ms grey-to-grey response time, two HDMI – as well as a DVI – ports, four USB ports (three downstream, one upstream), and a DisplayPort 1.2.
The BenQ Zowie XL2540 and XL2735 will be available in Malaysia sometime in the first week of March 2017. The XL2540 will retail at RM2,399, while the XL2735 carries a RM3,299 price tag.
